My name is Chris Riopelle, I hail from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. I’ve been riding dirt bikes on and off since I was a kid but never ventured onto a paved road until, at the age of 32, I decided to get my motorcycle licence. Well that did it, I had to get a bike ASAP. After hours upon hours on the internet, showrooms and forums I finally decided on the KLR650. I now ride a 2008 KLR650 that I picked up on March 6th 2010 at 9:30am and by 9:31am I was completely obsessed with modifications to the bike and my riding gear. My KLR650 is now used as my daily commuter, weekend adventurer and grocery getter, I take it everywhere. I’ve become addicted to the KLR650 forums, blogs, videos and product reviews, and now I feel it’s my duty to pay-it-forward and share what I’ve learned. This blog is a chronicle of the modifications I’ve made and reviews of the gear I’ve picked up along the way. Although several modifications are already complete and plan to chronicle many more, hopefully I’ve helped inform your decisions and provided you with new ideas.
